3 Reasons why we will quit Drinking
A. It wastes precious Time
B. It costly
C. Takes away from healthy time spent with family
Goals.....
What goal do you really want to accomplish in regards to your drug use?
I want to accomplish total abstinence from liquor make it disappear out of my head. I need to adapt to a routine where the thoughts of drinking disappear. I am doing this for OCS and most of all I am doing this for me. I plan to have healthy behaviors going forward as part of this 90 to 180 Day crisis therapy at Anchor House. I am fully committed to to family of putting them first and addressing their concerns and needs. They are the reason why I am alive and now we have purpose to live another lifetime. Together we will end the war on drugs and alcohol.
Goals must be measurable. How will you measure or evaluate your progress?
I need to check into a outpatient drug treatment center. I might do a MN Adult Teen Challenge and MHS in Edina with Mental Health Systems. I think about it so much that its time to go to treatment. I will monitor my drinking with outpatient services and have my family keep held accountable. WE will have weekly meetings Thursday's at 5pm to 6pm over the phone line. We must reward our self for each week of sobriety.
Is your goal short term or long term?
My goal is to quit thinking about drinking which is short term and my long term goal is to keep sober for the rest of my life. I do not have the luxury to fall of the wagon its to costly and a loss of family. I like to think that I have many short term goals with drinking. I'll go to treatment, stop thinking about it, and become the best copy I can.
How much time will it take to accomplish the goal?
A life time a constant focus to be sober and to attend A.A. weekly or daily if needed treatment will probably be 90 days and then plan to go to MHS after that.
What is your plan to accomplish the Goal?
I will enroll in a treatment program we have 13,000 treatment facilities so I need to do my research for out patient therapy and find something that is good with people who know what the hell they are doing. I will start today to do the research to complete this goal. I will make phone calls out to talk with people about what to do and when I can get started.
How determined are you to make this goal change from 1-10 scale?
I am a 10, I am committed to myself, family, and God to make a change in my life and this needs to be addressed so I don't relapse when I leave this treatment center. Its imperative that I find help soon!
