Easy Maple Bacon Biscuits You Can Make At Home

These Upside Down Maple Bacon Biscuits are a bacon lover’s dream!Try this decadent maple bacon biscuit recipe. It’s an amazing combination of sweet and savory that melts in your mouth – the best of both worlds! This recipe calls for 5 simple ingredients, plus our Farmer Brothers Buttermilk Biscuit Mix. (If you don’t have buttermilk, try this simple trick: Take 1 cup of milk and add either 1.5 tablespoons of white vinegar or lemon juice. Let it sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes. Double this mixture and save any leftover buttermilk in the refrigerator for use later. )

Ingredients:
4 cups Farmer Brothers Buttermilk Biscuit Mix
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
6 oz maple syrup
6.5 Tbs butter, melted
1/2 lb bacon, cooked then diced
1 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400˚F.
In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, melted butter, cooked diced bacon, and brown sugar until mixed thoroughly.
Using a non-stick 9” x 13” pan, spread mixture evenly in the bottom of pan. Place in freezer for 5 minutes, until set.
Prepare biscuits per package instructions with buttermilk.
Place biscuits spaced evenly on top of the mixture.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until biscuits are fully cooked and biscuit tops are golden brown.
Remove from the oven. Using a knife, run along the edges of the pan to loosen all edges from the pan. Then, cool in the pan for approximately 10-15 minutes before serving. To serve, place a serving platter or sheet tray on top of pan and invert.
Serve while warm.
